Gene Spires
Gene Spires is a proud alumus of The University of Memphis, located in Memphis, Tennessee. Graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with the class of 1982, Mr. Spires began what continues to be a successful career in the area of Mechanical and Plumbing Engineering with an emphasis on design.
Gene has extensive experience in a wide variety of building designs, including hospitals, schools, churches, dormitories, office buildings, governmental projects, as well as other commercial, institutional and industrial facilities. Mr. Spires has also performed energy analyses under the guidelines of the Federal Department of Energy, as well as energy and economic analyses for other public and private facility owners across the nation. His experience in problem avoidance (peer) reviews and building commissioning have also included the preparation of detailed pre-functional and functional test procedures, review of Operation and Maintenance manuals and participation in owner training sessions.
In addition to his design and analysis work, Mr. Spires provides due diligence reviews of commercial and medical facilities. His surveys include building, healthcare and energy code compliance, as well as evaluations for owner acquisitions of property.
Finally, Mr. Spires is a certified medical gas piping system inspector and has traveled extensively inspecting these systems in the medical environment.
