Phelps Memorial Health Center

This project involves the construction of a new 73,000 square foot addition to an existing hospital, together with the renovation of an additional 15,000 square feet.  Holdrege is located in the Central Plains of Nebraska.  Consequently this facility is exposed to significant amounts of snow and ice during the winter months.  The intent behind the design of the MEP infrastructure is to make this facility self-sufficient in the immediate aftermath of a winter storm.  This project includes a new Central Energy Plant, which includes provisions for emergency domestic water connections and a docking station for emergency power connections from a mobile generator and an underground fuel tank with 96 hours of fuel capacity.
