Sumner County EOC

The Sumner County Emergency Communications and Operations Center, located in Gallatin, Tennessee, has been designed in response to the County’s desire to consolidate its previously scattered 911 dispatch functions. Planning for the facility factors in growth expectations through 2035, which has resulted in a 9,000 sq. ft. building with both internal and external expansion capabilities. Using FEMA-361 guidelines the building structure is designed to withstand the effects of an F-5 tornado.

Franklin Police Headquarters

This project involves a replacement headquarters for the Franklin Police Department. Containing approximately 94,000 square feet, the building includes a 911 Emergency Operations Center, suspect processing, I.D. Lab, Vehicle Examination, Evidence Holding, and a 2-story parking deck. A high-efficiency, ground-coupled Geothermal HVAC system is incorporated in the physical plant. The geothermal borefield system is approximately 200 tons, consisting of eight (8) independent water loops. Each of the eight loops is composed of thirteen (13) 500 foot deep grout-filled, U-loop bores. This project has been certified as a LEED Gold Building.

Antioch Middle School

This 123,750 square foot project involved renovations and additions to meet several design objectives. One of the major project goals was to create a cohesive aesthetic among the separate buildings and various additions that had spread across the site over the course of several decades. New entrances and connectors to link the individual buildings helped accomplish this goal. Also included were a modernized media center, new cafeteria and kitchen, and a new administration area. The building was completely upgraded for energy savings with new windows and HVAC and electrical systems. The project was certified LEED Silver by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center Stem Cell Processing

The project includes the renovation of approximately 1,600 square feet of the existing Stem Cell Processing laboratory. The renovation of the laboratory incorporates the specific needs of a GTP processing lab, and creates an open working environment to facilitate flexibility and interaction between lab-techs. The program includes a new wet-lab space with modular casework, a tech lab, office, entry, as well as a larger and more efficient cryo-storage room.

This project involves the renovation of and addition to the Highland Heights School in Nashville, Tennessee. The subject structure is a historical building, originally built in 1930. The 101,000 square foot building was renovated and updated to provide educational and recreational space for 900 students. Of particular note is the HVAC system which utilizes a Geothermal Earth-coupled system.

This project is a 150,000 square foot renovation to create the Antioch Campus of Nashville State. The building consists of office space, classrooms, teaching laboratories and a teaching kitchen. Project also included the retrofit of the existing chilled water plant.
